“You can have the best smoothie packed with fresh fruits, veggies, and superfood powders, and it likely wont match the replenishing nutrition contained in one cup of red clover tea.” - Anthony William, the Medical Medium
I love red clover for so many reasons. For one, it has some serious skin loving properties. In fact, research shows that that this nutrient dense herb can actually retard the process of skin aging due to its estrogen like effects, helping to maintain youthful and vibrant skin. It also promotes healthy keratinization of the skin, keeping it thick and supple.
It is traditionally used as a blood purifier, eliminating toxins from the bloodstream. Clean blood is super important for maintaining skin health. When blood becomes toxic, due to the liver not working properly, the toxins in the blood will actually breakdown the skin’s collagen, creating wrinkles.
Red clover also boosts circulation, speeding up the body’s natural elimination process and clearing up skin conditions by moving the waste that builds up beneath the skin’s surface.
When it comes to the lymphatic system, red clover is Queen Bee. It is the most powerful all the herbs for cleansing lymphatic fluid and is excellent at cleansing toxic heavy metals and pesticides.
Red clover is loaded with nutrients and alkaloids. Medical Medium says that you can get more nutrition out of red clover than any multivitamin on the shelf. In fact, if you are dealing with any nutrient deficiencies, Medical Medium recommends drinking three cups of red clover tea daily. He says, “It is the ultimate tool for remineralization and an amazing tool for deficiencies, specifically in, molybdenum, manganese, selenium, iron, magnesium, vitamin A, B vitamins, cofactors of vitamins (phytonutrients that are not yet on the radar of medical research), and more.”
It’s nutrients also make it one of the ultimate weight loss tools. It’s alkaloids work synergistically with its amino acids to break up and reduce stored-up, excess fat, so it can be flushed out of the body.
Red clover has an incredible energizing effect and can be really helpful for those feeling exhausted, fatigued, or depleted.
Red clover is available in tea and tincture form.
